WHO MAY APPLY

All qualified permanent and indefinite Title 32 Nional Guard employees who are currently working for the 131st Bomb Wing Whiteman AFB, Missouri. Duties Help Interpretes manufacturer drawings, specificions, opering instructions, and test procedures, to troubleshoot, calibre, align and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment. Identifies, repairs or replaces numerous electronic (both digital and analog) components. Repairs composite merials and ste of the art gas compressor turbines and electronically controlled engines. Troubleshoots, repairs, adjusts and aligns down-sized powered support equipment. Uses a variety of sophisticed testers, such as analyzers, digital meters, oscilloscopes and other measuring devices to determine repair requirements. Corrects unusual maintenance problems, by interpreting a variety of technical da such as tables, charts, formulas, color codes, wiring diagrams, and schemic symbols. Does circuit analyses, considers integred circuit relionships, and applies electronic principles in order to fault-isole and repair the various digital devices contained in highly complex powered support equipment. Performs inspections, preventive maintenance, servicing, repair, and adjustments on complex rotary diesel engines. Performs intermedie-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE. Performs maintenance da collection, and prepares other required forms. Maintains Technical Orders, Technical Order Files, commercial technical publicions and other directives pertinent to the section. Submits Technical Order Improvement Reports, Merial Deficiency Reports and suggestions when required. Performs other duties as assigned. Participion in direct deposit is mandory. Failure to complete management prescribed courses for full-time support personnel within the first year of employment or assignment, may be cause for reassignment or terminion. This is an Excepted Service position th requires membership in the Missouri Nional Guard prior to the effective de of placement.

Selected candide must currently be assigned to a military unit in the Missouri Air Nional Guard. Title 32 employees will not be militarily senior to their full-time supervisor (grade inversion).

GENERAL EXPERIENCE

: Must possess experience or training which demonstres your knowledge of mechanical maintenance work; ability to read and use technical manuals, illustrions, diagrams and schemics; and skill in the use of equipment and hand tools used in troubleshooting, testing and repairing equipment.

WG-10 SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Must possess specialized experience and/or approprie training th demonstres your ability to remove, adjust, replace, clean, and install parts, components, and accessories of aviion powered ground support equipment; service, maintain, disassemble, assemble, repair, and test powered support systems equipment; diagnose malfunctions and determining a remedy where knowledge of specialized components is necessary to loce a malfunction; make mechanical repairs th required the use of precision measuring equipment; and use complex diagnostic and testing equipment.
