Job Description

Key Responsibilities Safely operate a 26-foot mobile banking branch vehicle to and from assigned locations across New York State, navigating both urban and rural routes. Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while ensuring the safety of staff, members, and the general public. Perform basic vehicle maintenance, including oil checks, tire inspections, refueling ( diesel and propane), and black/gray water disposal. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and document findings on required checklists. Troubleshoot mechanical issues and coordinate repairs or service with approved vendors. Maintain vehicle compliance with all applicable state and federal transportation regulations. Pre-plan routes to ensure accessibility, parking availability, and compliance with local ordinances. Support the setup and teardown of branch event materials, including awnings, tables, tents, chairs, and signage. Clean and sanitize the vehicle interior and exterior after each event. Provide staff orientation and training on mobile branch procedures and safety protocols as needed (e.g., annually, new hires, day-of-event). Assist the Facilities Manager with general maintenance and preventative upkeep of SFCU branches and properties. Perform light repairs, routine inspections, and minor building maintenance tasks. Support special projects or emergency maintenance needs as assigned. Required Qualifications Demonstrated experience operating large vehicles. Basic mechanical aptitude and/or maintenance experience. High school diploma or GED required.
Licences/Certifications:
Valid Driver License Experience in a customer-facing or community outreach role. Familiarity with upstate New York roadways and rural travel conditions. Skilled in basic hand tool use, time management, and problem-solving. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on safety and service. Preferred Qualifications Commercial Driver License Experience with vehicles 26 feet or larger The Mobile Branch Operator is responsible for safely operating and maintaining SFCU's 26-foot mobile banking branch throughout upstate New York. This role ensures the mobile branch is properly prepared, functional, and presentable for each deployment supporting our mission to deliver convenient, high-quality financial services directly to our communities. When the mobile branch is not in use, this position supports the Facilities Department with general maintenance, repair, and upkeep of SFCU properties to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
