Mold, Tool & Die Maker - Tool Room (Direct Hire)
Location:
Montgomery, IL Pay:
Starting at $30/hr.+ Based on
Experience Shift:
1st Shift We are hiring a skilled Mold, Tool & Die Maker to join our Tool Room team on a direct-hire basis. This role involves precision work, close-tolerance machining, mold/die repair, and hands-on craftsmanship in a well-equipped shop.
Key Responsibilities:
Construct, alter, and repair a variety of molds, dies, tools, jigs, and fixtures. Work to close tolerances to fit, align, and assemble precision components. Perform ordinary tool room machining operations using manual equipment. Work from prints, sketches, samples, orders, demonstrations, and instructions to complete machining and assembly tasks. Disassemble molds and dies, inspect damaged components, and perform indicated repairs. Assist with complex or difficult work, including heliarc welding (TIG). Reassemble molds/dies and verify proper fit and alignment. Report equipment malfunctions, material discrepancies, or unusual conditions. Maintain accurate paperwork and keep work area clean and organized. Under limited supervision, operate manual machine tools; under close supervision, set up and operate CNC machines. Use precision measuring tools, gauges, machinist hand tools, and material-handling equipment. Perform additional qualified tasks as needed to support production.
