Mowing Crew Apprentice

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Mowing Crew Apprentice! Assist other crew members in the weekly mowing of properties to maintain turf areas.

This is accomplished by:

Mowing using commercial zero turn mowers, ride on, stand on, and walk behind. Trimming of grass in areas where mowers are unable to fit and along concrete surfaces to keep grass uniform looking. Removal of weeds that are growing in the cracks of parking lot and sidewalks. Blowing off of concrete surfaces prior to leaving a property. Maintaining of equipment by regular intervals. Assist in keeping truck and trailers organized. Snow removal in the winter, plus other duties around the shop to provide hours during the winter months. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Prior experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, heavy equipment, and running commercial mowing equipment preferred. Valid driver's license (Required) Detail oriented. Motivated, self driven. Consistent work history. Ability to plan and coordinate along with team for efficient movement throughout day. Ability to work in moderate to high heat and occasional rain. Use of equipment to complete jobs: Commercial mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools. Occasional loud noises with equipment use: hearing protection provided and required.

Presence of airborne debris:

eye protection provided and required. Respiratory protection provided and required.

Working Days and Hours:

Monday through Friday. Saturdays as needed. 7am to 5pm •Later as needed due to weather and deadlines •Will need to ensure that all weekly duties are completed. Why Ground Builders?
