JOB TITLE

MRF Maintenance Technician

REPORTS TO

Maintenance/Mechanic Supervisor SUMMARY:

The MRF Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining Material Recovery Facility (MRF) equipment including the sorting line, forklift, loaders, material handler, Ballistor, baler, and any other components used in processing of solid waste and recyclables to ensure MRF operations are all running efficiently. This Technician provides routine maintenance to all MRF equipment to avoid disruptions and has the ability to identify and troubleshoot equipment with the resources provided to them.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following, but not limited to: Ensures proper maintenance on MRF equipment including sort lines, ballistor, baler, and strapper Scheduled and performs routine maintenance on MRF equipment Ensures a safe/clean working area at all times and everyone's adherence to safety procedures Ensures proper use of MRF equipment including loader, bobcat, forklift, material handler, and excavator Communicates all issues, operations or personnel related, when identified, to senior Management, General Manager, and/or HR Operates sorting line machinery and heavy equipment • My drive loader, bobcat, and/or forklift as needed Adheres to all safety procedures Attends mandatory monthly safety meetings, which may be scheduled outside regular hours Performs other duties as assigned

COMPETENCIES, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Equipment certified for Baler, Strapper, Loader, Bobcat, Forklift, Blister, Excavato

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Schedule flexibility

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Must have equipment operator experience or training; high school diploma or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Bilingual (English & Spanish)

REQUIRED SKILLS / COMPETENCIES

Intermediate computer skills required Intermediate math skills required Able to communicate verbally in a professional and courteous manner Able to communicate issues effectively Able to follow oral and written instructions Able to clearly explain issue / resolution Able to work quickly and independently with little to no supervision Able to quickly adjust to new situations or changes

Route Supervisor SUMMARY:

Pick up and haul solid waste, yard waste, and recyclables to/from Material Recovery Facility (MRF)/Transfer Stations/Landfill for Commercial, Industrial, & Residential customers, conducts daily pre/post vehicle inspections documenting results, completes Driver Daily Log, and reports maintenance issues when identified.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

include the following, but not limited to: Adherence to DOT compliance must be maintained at all times Conducts a thorough pre/post inspection of vehicle(s) daily and completes required forms Completes Driver Daily Log Report vehicle damages or maintenance issues when occurs Maintains a valid Commercial license and complies with all DMV requirements Reports accidents or traffic violations immediately upon occurrence Provide service to Tulare/Fresno County customers per designated route Utilize tablet for routing, service start/completion, breaks/lunches, load tonnage, and customer issues Photograph and note all customer service issues on tablet, to Supervisor, or Dispatcher when occurs Secure loads for transport; may include placing tarp to cover load Hook/unhook trailers as required Collect radio and tablet at start of shift and return at end of shift Answer and respond to radio calls in a timely manner Maintain vehicle cleanliness inside and out by washing trucks, at all times Adhere to all safety procedures • Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings , which may be scheduled outside regular hours Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Valid driver's license required; Class B license preferred Must maintain a valid driver's license and a clean DMV record Must be insurable Schedule flexibility

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent; 1-3 years' experience driving Commercial vehicles

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Basic English required; bilingual desired (English & Spanish)
