Full Job Description The Role:
Meadow Brook School is seeking a passionate, creative, and nurturing Music Teacher to inspire a love of music in young learners. The successful candidate will create joyful and engaging musical experiences that support the developmental needs of early childhood students while building foundational musical knowledge and skills.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Develop and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate music instruction for students in grades K2. Design active and engaging learning experiences that incorporate singing, movement, rhythm, storytelling, and musical exploration. Align instruction with the Massachusetts Arts Curriculum Frameworks for Music, including: Fundamental music theory and music literacy Vocal technique and vocal health Rhythm and melodic concepts Instrument exploration and performance skills Listening, responding, creating, and performing music Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning, developmental, cultural, and linguistic needs of students. Establish clear expectations and routines that support positive student behavior and engagement. Organize and direct seasonal concerts, showcases, or informances that celebrate student growth in a supportive and developmentally appropriate manner. Collaborate with classroom teachers and school staff to support interdisciplinary learning and school-wide initiatives. Establish and maintain positive communication with parents, guardians, and caregivers regarding student learning and progress. Work collaboratively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff to support student success and school culture. Qualifications Massachusetts DESE Music (
All Levels:
PreK12) licensure Bachelors degree in Music Education or related field Preferred Experience teaching music in an elementary or early childhood setting Experience with movement-based and play-based instructional approaches Ability to accompany students vocally or instrumentally Familiarity with trauma-sensitive, inclusive, and culturally responsive teaching practices
