Today, the district encompasses four schools across 3.5 square miles, including three elementary schools (Ada S. Nelson, Aeolian, and Rancho Santa Gertrudes) and one middle school (Los Nietos Middle School), serving approximately 1,200 students in a diverse and vibrant community. Job Summary Job Summary Plan, organize, and teach general music and choral/vocal music at the middle school and elementary school sites. Beginning and advanced classes in instrumental and choral music will be offered to students, utilizing standard instructional techniques for both instrumental performance and vocal singing. Develops performing ensembles, including bands, choirs, vocal ensembles, instrumental groups, and soloists using students from the middle school level and elementary schools. Establishes training ensembles for students with less experience in performance ensembles.
Initial Qualifications:
  • Possesses an earned Baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited college or university with a major in the field of music
  • Possesses a valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential (Preliminary or Clear) with a Music authorization or Multiple Subject Credential with a supplementary Music authorization.
  • Possesses a valid California Driver License and a reliable personal automobile
  • Must be able to demonstrate, teach, and support instruction in standard general music instruments and vocal music techniques, including basic accompaniment skills as appropriate This position is for the 2026-2027 academic year.
$10,000 sign-on bonus to be paid in two installments: $5,000 upon hire and $5,000 upon successful completion of the 2026-2027 academic year. View Job Description Requirements / Qualifications
