Purpose:

The NAPA Store Lead plays a key leadership role within the store by supporting daily operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and assisting Team Leadership, inventory control, and sales execution. This role serves as a working leader on the floor, modeling NAPA standards, coaching team members, and ensuring smooth store operations in the absence of the Location Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead by example to deliver exceptional service to retail and wholesale customers Serve customers in-store, by phone, and assist with deliveries as needed Support daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures Assist with freight check-in, stocking, merchandising, and maintaining store appearance Provide accurate parts knowledge and solutions to customers Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, restocking, and organization Assist with processing cores, defective returns, and inventory transfers Help train, mentor, and support Parts Professionals and Deliver Driver(s) Reinforce compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards Assist with scheduling coverage, workflow prioritization, and task delegation Step in as acting leader Participate in required training, NAPA online courses, and product education Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive workplace culture

Experience and Skills:

Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge Previous experience in a parts store, automotive, or related industry preferred High School Diploma or GED required Demonstrated leadership or shift-lead experience preferred Strong customer service and problem-solving skills Solid verbal and written communication skills Basic to intermediate computer and point-of-sale system skills Working knowledge of inventory management practices Passion for the automotive or equipment industry ASE certification or willingness to pursue certification preferred Working Conditions & Requirements Must be able to stand for extended periods of time Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to lift at least 75 pounds Occasional travel as needed Additional Information This is not an all-inclusive list of job-related responsibilities, skills, or working conditions.
