Many will not — they will be sorting out housing, safety, court dates, benefits, or simply what they want to do next. Your job is to make sure they have good information, real options, and someone in their corner while they decide. About DOVES The DOVES Program has served the Nebraska Panhandle since 1979. We cover nine counties and about 12,000 square miles from offices in Scottsbluff, Alliance, Sidney and Chadron. Our services are free and confidential. What you will do Provide direct services on our 24-hour help line and 12-hour text line, supporting callers from anywhere in our nine-county service area Meet with clients in person, in the office and out in the community Help clients understand their rights and options Work through safety planning with clients at their own pace Respond to requests for advocacy from law enforcement and health care professionals Support clients as they navigate housing, benefits, protection orders and other systems Coordinate the services a client receives, in-house and with community partners Provide services in both Spanish and English, and interpret for other staff as needed Build and maintain working relationships with agencies across the service area Assist with awareness and outreach events led by our Outreach Coordinator Complete client documentation accurately and by deadline Participate in program tracking, evaluation and reporting Travel regularly throughout the service area, and attend occasional out-of-town and out-of-state conferences Attend a minimum of 20 hours of training each year What you will bring Fluency in Spanish and English — reading, writing, speaking and understanding High school diploma or GED Valid driver's license, safe and reliable transportation, and current car insurance Cell phone Sound judgment & critical thinking skills Ability to pass a criminal background check, CPS/APS background check, Sex Offender Registry check and driver's license check

Schedule Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:

8:00am-4:00pm, with a one-hour lunch

Wednesday:

11:00am-8:00pm, with one-hour lunch One night shift on the help line per week or every other week One weekend shift on the help line every five to six weeks Two to three holidays per year This position travels regularly across our nine-county service area, with scheduled days in outlying communities.
