Job Description

The Volunteer Program Supervisor provides leadership, oversight, and strategic direction for Regional West's volunteer program. In this role, you'll develop, coordinate, and sustain a robust volunteer program that enhances patient care, supports hospital operations, and strengthens connections with the community. The Volunteer Program Supervisor serves as a key liaison between hospital leadership, volunteers, and community partners while ensuring a positive and engaging volunteer experience.

A Day in the Life ofAs the Volunteer Program Supervisor, you'll oversee all aspects of the volunteer program, including recruitment, screening, placement, orientation, training, and ongoing engagement of volunteers throughout the organization. You'll collaborate with department leaders to identify volunteer opportunities that support patient care and operational needs while ensuring volunteers are well-prepared and successful in their roles.

You'll work closely with Human Resources to coordinate onboarding requirements, maintain volunteer records, schedules, credentials, and compliance documentation. Additionally, you'll develop and implement recognition programs that celebrate volunteer contributions and foster long-term engagement and retention.

In this role, you'll build strong relationships with community organizations, schools, civic groups, and hospital leadership to promote volunteerism and support patient experience initiatives. You'll also develop policies and procedures, participate in organizational committees, and contribute to strategic planning efforts that advance the mission of Regional West.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.

Three to five years of experience in volunteer coordination, nonprofit leadership, or healthcare administration required.

Strong leadership, organizational, and relationship-building skills.

Excellent communication and customer service abilities.

Ability to collaborate effectively with leaders, staff, volunteers, and community partners.

Experience managing multiple priorities and projects in a dynamic environment.
