SUMMARY:

Tech Leads provide technical leadership and direction in assigned manufacturing. This role actively participates and suports a work environment that is focused on lean and continuous improvement activities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Consistently models a positive attitude and demonstrates a "can-do" mindset

Ensure team compliance with the quality system and applicable policy, procedure, and practice

Interface with Engineering on technical issues and make recommendations for change

Assist in developing standard work for assigned areas

Cross train employees, develop backups and additional skills in workers

Serve as back-up Team Lead as required

Self-check work and inspect prior processes

Meet production goals

Maintain a clean and safe work area

Initiate process improvements when able

Work in close proximity to customer, as needed

Operate any equipment or tools needed to perform the job

Assist other team members and departments as needed

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent experience

Extensive knowledge of product, processes, operations, theory, and practive in assigned area

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Ability to read blue prints, routings, and BOM

Ability to lead by example

Ability to identify root cause, implement corrective action, where gaps to the goal exist

Strong problem solving skills

2+ years experience in assigned area

Participated in at least 2 Kaizen events

Ability to use basic hand and power tools

Ability to read and use a tape measure to precise measurements

Ability to work in a team environment

Ability to maintain attendance within company guidelines

Ability to retain and apply instructions

Positive attitude

Work overtime on short notice

Embrace change

Basic computer skills

Basic math skills; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

Must be detailed orientated

Ability to read and understand truck specification documents

Ability to communicate and understand in English

Ability to work within safety guidelines

Must be self-motivated

Must be able to work with little to no supervision after two weeks

EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
