Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Network EngineerThe Network Engineer will be responsible for providing operational planning and technical knowledge to design, implement, and support enterprise switching, routing, and SD-WAN infrastructure that aligns with the Company's business and IT objectives. This position will provide hands-on technical execution and will manage simple and enterprise-wide projects from initiation to completion across LAN/WAN environments, complex multi-site network architectures, and the manufacturing plant floor. The Network Engineer will collaborate with leaders in other business units and operational areas to gather requirements and implement scalable, highly available, and resilient network infrastructure — including VLAN design, routing protocol optimization, network segmentation strategies, and firewall policy management — to meet present and future business needs. This role will also support and contribute to network automation initiatives, leveraging scripting and automation tools to streamline network operations, reduce manual effort, and improve overall reliability and consistency across the environment. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstallation, maintenance, and enhancements of global networks delivering secure and reliable data services across corporate, production, and guest networksPerimeter network security support including Fortinet FortiGate and Cisco ASA/FTD firewall administration and policy managementMaintenance of private DHCP services and both public and private DNS servicesEnsure data integrity and security by implementing and managing network infrastructure hardware and software solutions in alignment with industry standards and best practicesAssist with developing standards, policies, and configuration guidelines; document procedures for team reviewConduct routine hardware and software audits of network infrastructure to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelinesPerform upgrades to network infrastructure components including switches, routers, and SD-WAN appliancesDevelop implementation plans including communication strategies, validation steps, and back-out proceduresCoordinate and implement low to high-risk network changes according to the ITIL framework across mission-critical functional areasWork with WAN and internet service providers to obtain new services and troubleshoot and maintain existing connectivityCollaborate with the IT group to support disaster recovery processes and proceduresSupport and contribute to network automation initiatives using scripting and automation tools to streamline operationsShare knowledge and experience to support the technical development of other team membersAssist in tracking and communicating key networking metrics to leadershipOccasional work outside of normal business hours including incident escalation and off-hours maintenanceOccasional travel to various FBIN locations ExperienceExperience with Arista, Fortinet, and Cisco switches and routers, including network design, architecture, and hands-on technical implementationExperience with SD-WAN, ELAN, port aggregation, load balancing, and failover technologies in enterprise environmentsExperience with designing, implementing, and maintaining enterprise LAN/WAN environments including VLAN design, VXLAN overlay networking, network segmentation, and routing protocol configurationExperience with designing, implementing, and maintaining Juniper and Cisco wireless networksExperience with Fortinet perimeter security including firewall policy management and VPN technologies; IPsec and SSL VPNs for internal and external connectivityEnterprise routing protocol experience including EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, and spanning treeExperience with network monitoring and management tools including setup, configuration, ongoing maintenance, and reportingFamiliarity with network automation and scripting tools to support operational efficiencyExperience assisting with the development and enforcement of standards for hardware, software, and configuration managementExperience with vendor management including hardware, software, and WAN/internet service providersExposure to ITIL framework and change management processes

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
5-7 years as a Network Engineer with strong Fortinet, Arista, and Cisco router and switch design and management skills.

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field is preferred; 2-year degree may be considered with appropriate experience 
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Minimum of an FCA/CCNA or equivalent; FCP/CCNP or higher preferred 
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities.

Hiring Pay Range:
$70,000 USD•$110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
