News Reporter

Iowa Information Media Group, a family-owned newspaper company based in Sheldon, Iowa, has an immediate opening for a full-time news reporter for the Le Mars Sentinel, a twice-weekly newspaper in "The Ice Cream Capital of the World." This is an exciting opportunity for an up-and-coming journalist or veteran writer who is excited about telling stories, including regular reporting and coverage of community issues and events. You would pursue local and regional stories and develop enterprise stories that would be of interest to readers, shoot photos, gather website content and be an active member of this thriving community. This is on-site work, approximately 40 hours per week with competitive pay, health care, retirement program with company match and paid time off. Veteran staff writers have the opportunity to move into an editing position in one of a dozen newspapers in the Iowa Information Media Group.
