Full-time Job Opportunity:

Trade Person Utility / HVAC Are you a skilled HVAC professional looking for a hands-on role with variety and responsibility? Join NFTA's Facilities Maintenance team and help keep our properties comfortable, safe, and efficient. You'll work on everything from boilers to chillers and air conditioning systems, often leading projects and collaborating with other tradespeople. Key Responsibilities Maintain, repair, and retrofit HVAC systems (boilers, chillers, compressors, air handlers, mini-splits) Perform preventative maintenance on heating and cooling systems Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC issues using specialized tools Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals Keep detailed records of work performed Occasionally act as a lead on multi-trade projects Assist with other building trades tasks as needed Skills & Qualifications 5+ years experience as a HVAC technician High school diploma or trade school graduate Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills Knowledge of plumbing and electrical systems is a plus EPA certification to handle refrigerants Valid NYS driver's license Ability to obtain a SIDA badge and CBP seal Comfortable working outdoors in all weather and using ladders or lifts Willing to respond to call-ins and work flexible shifts Physical Requirements Lift 20-40 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs Bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and crawling Stand for long periods, walk regularly Work Environment 50% indoor / 50% outdoor Exposure to fumes, dust, noise, vibration, and moving equipment Why Work Here?
