Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Night Certified Medication Aide specializing in Assisted Living! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate medication management and personalized care to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. Your expertise will support residents' health needs while fostering a warm, respectful environment that promotes independence and well-being. Responsibilities Administer prescribed medications accurately following physician orders, including oral, topical, and injectable medications Monitor residents' vital signs and observe for any adverse reactions or changes in health status Document medication administration and patient care activities precisely using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, mobility support, and hygiene care Support residents with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's, dementia, memory care, hospice, or tube feeding with patience and professionalism Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of medical records and patient information Collaborate with nursing staff to update medical documentation and communicate any concerns or changes in residents' conditions Requirements Valid certification as a Medication Aide or Certified Medication Technician (CMT) from an accredited program Proven experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments Strong knowledge of assisted living protocols, senior care practices, and medical terminology Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic or Cerner for accurate documentation Ability to perform vital signs measurement, catheter care, and basic anatomy and physiology knowledge Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is preferred Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members Join us in delivering exceptional senior care by combining your medical expertise with your compassionate spirit.
