Job Description
Overview Join our compassionate team as a Night In-Home Caregiver, where your dedication and expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring overnight support. This role offers an energizing opportunity to provide vital care during the night hours, ensuring safety, comfort, and well-being for those with diverse needs. As a Night Caregiver, you will be the reassuring presence that promotes independence while delivering personalized assistance in a home environment. Your commitment will help create a safe, nurturing space for residents or clients, empowering them to thrive through attentive and respectful care. Responsibilities Monitor residents' safety and well-being throughout the night, responding promptly to any emergencies or needs that arise Observe and document changes in residents' condition, including vital signs, sleep patterns, and behavioral cues Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as repositioning, toileting, and hygiene support Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA confidentiality standards Prepare nutritious meals or snacks as needed during overnight hours and maintain cleanliness of the living space Use specialized equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and transfers Conduct regular safety checks of the environment, including fire alarms, security systems, and hazard assessments Collaborate with healthcare teams to update care plans and ensure consistent patient-centered support Maintain detailed documentation of patient observations, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with healthcare regulations Qualifications Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures is essential Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is advantageous Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong observational skills to monitor vital signs and detect changes in patient condition Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with healthcare providers and family members Valid certifications in CPR and first aid; additional certifications related to nursing or social work are a plus Embark on a rewarding journey where your compassionate caregiving transforms lives overnight. Pay:
$16.50 - $19.00 per hour Application Question(s): Can you work Monday through Friday 6pm to 10pmExperience:
