eligible candides. Videos Duties Help Responsible for the science-based stewardship of diverse nural and cultural resources, and understanding the interdependence of all Forest mission areas. Serves as a key member of the Forest/Grassland Leadership Team formuling plans, policies, and objectives for the Forest/Grassland. Serves as a representive of the agency completing duties in a way th is trustworthy, caring, respectful, responsive, curious, and inclusive. Makes decisions and provides informion concerning dependent communities, collaborives or working groups and industry. Oversees the implemention and execution of the District's portion of the Forest/Grassland Plan. Recommends amendments as necessary. Demonstres a commitment to learning and evolving management approaches based on knowledge gained both from best available science and the relionships with communities, key stakeholders, interagency partners, and the public. Develops, organizes, and implements functional long-range planning and short-range action plans, and periodically revises program operions for consistency with stregies and program emphasis. Ensures the quality, quantity, and coordinion of all work performed on the District, ensuring efforts are integred across program areas Responsible for program management, planning, budgeting, and management informion for identifying work force and organizional needs, and district priorities. Specialized Experience Requirement:
For the GS-12 : Applicants must have one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to least the GS-11 grade level. Specialized experience is defined as meeting ONE (1) or more of the following: Represented an organizional unit for the purpose of discussing agency policies and regulions with the general public, representives from local, county, Ste, Federal and Tribal governments, permittees, industry, special interest groups, or other partners; Developed annual program of work, prepared project work plans, developed long
  • and short-term budget needs, set priorities and documented work progress and accountability for assigned programs; Planned, implemented, and administered a nural resources program (e.
g., timber management program) for a unit th included developing staffing, budget and equipment needs for program/project accomplishment; and/or Provided advice, technical support, and evaluion of proposed and on-going nural resource programs to higher-level officials. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience th transles directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled.
