Job Description
Job Summary Under general supervision, this position serves visitors by greeting, welcoming, and directing them appropriately; notifies company personnel of visitor arrival. Performs administrative and business-related duties in support of the Sheriff's Department. Work Environment Work is routinely performed under typical office conditions. Occasional travel by car is necessary. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet. Work is subject to frequent fluctuations and is often performed in stressful situations. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma, GED or equivalent. Two (2) years' experience in an office setting preferably in a law enforcement environment or related field. Certified in NCIC preferred. Must be willing to organize, maintain and review data, historical records, and police reports. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with the public, supervisors, and co-workers. Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required. Must have a valid New Mexico driver's license. May not have any DWI or DUI within the last the last five (5) current years. Strong communication skills and be able to write clearly and informatively, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions. Pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background investigation. Employees must comply with the safety guidelines of the county. Employees must reside within Cibola County. Employees must maintain confidentiality.
