  • A culture that celebrates people, purpose, and making meaningful moments Overview We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented Event Setup Supervisor to lead our Houseperson team in preparing event spaces for meetings, banquets, weddings, and special events.
This role oversees all event setups from start to finish, ensuring each room is arranged accurately, safely, and on time according to Event Orders (EOs) and property standards. Key Responsibilities Event Setup & Execution
  • Oversee the complete setup and breakdown of all event spaces, including tables, chairs, staging, linens, décor, and equipment.
  • Ensure all setups match BEO specifications and meet brand and safety standards
  • Conduct walkthroughs before and after events to ensure accuracy, cleanliness, and readiness
  • Coordinate with Banquet Managers, Culinary, and AV teams to support smooth event execution. Team Leadership
  • Supervise, train, and support the Houseperson team during daily operations and event setups.
  • Assign tasks, monitor progress, and ensure efficient workflow
  • Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to maintain high performance and teamwork.

  • Maintain inventory of event furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Report maintenance needs or equipment issues promptly

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • Prepare large-batch recipes, base ingredients, sauces, stocks, and mise en place to support all property outlets.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of banquet and event menus, ensuring timely production and adherence to chef specifications. Follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency and accuracy across all dining venues.
  • Maintain organization of walk-in coolers, dry storage, prep areas, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and HACCP practices.
  • Label, date, rotate, and properly store all prepared items.
  • Communicate effectively with outlet chefs to prioritize daily production and event timelines
  • Support plating and execution during banquet service as needed.

Position Summary The Pool Technician ensures that all resort pools, spas, and water features meet Hyatt's high standards for safety, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. This role is essential in supporting the serene and joyful atmosphere that our guests expect at Tamaya. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily testing, balancing, and documenting of pool and spa water chemistry.
  • Maintain pumps, heaters, filters, chemical feeders, and all aquatic mechanical systems.
  • Inspect pool equipment and promptly report any issues with the operation of the equipment.
  • Monitor water clarity and cleanliness across three pools, whirlpool, waterslide, waterfall, and multiple fountains.
  • Perform routine cleaning of pool decks, drains, and surrounding areas.
  • Ensure compliance with local/state health codes and Hyatt brand standards.
  • Respond quickly to guest or staff concerns related to pool areas.
  • Collaborate with Recreation to support daily activities and ensure an exceptional guest pool experience.
  • Maintain accurate logs for chemical readings, inspections, and repairs.
