Now Hiring - 2nd Shift Material Handler $26 - $28 + 15% shift Differntial Job Description The Material Handler supports warehouse and production operations by receiving, auditing, and moving materials in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. This role manages inventory through daily cycle counts, processes jobs and material movements in computer and ERP systems, and prepares materials for shipment or return. The position requires accuracy, strong computer skills, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced, high-volume setting on a second-shift schedule. Responsibilities Work in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments while following all applicable procedures and safety standards. Receive incoming materials, verify accuracy against documentation, and audit materials for quantity and condition. Conduct daily cycle counts of inventory to maintain accurate stock records and support inventory control. Process jobs and material transactions using computer systems and ERP software. Process materials being returned to the warehouse, suppliers, or vendors, ensuring proper documentation and system updates. Package, wrap, and crate materials approved for shipping, using appropriate packing methods and materials. Coordinate and expedite line-down or critical parts to the appropriate work centers to minimize production delays. File and maintain documentation in accordance with department procedures and record-keeping requirements. Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts where certified, to move, load, and unload materials safely. Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds as needed to support warehouse and production operations. Read and interpret data, information, and documents related to inventory, shipments, and work orders. Use computer terminals regularly, interspersed with meetings, phone calls, and other communication activities. Move around the campus as needed to deliver materials and coordinate with other departments. Meet deadlines and work effectively under time constraints while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. Observe and respond appropriately to people and situations, collaborating with colleagues and other stakeholders. Learn and apply new information, processes, and systems as required by the role. Work in a safe, professional, and ethical manner at all times, following company policies and safety guidelines. Participate in initial training on first shift and transition to second shift upon completion of training. Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse, logistics, and production operations. Be available for occasional overtime as business needs require. Essential Skills Material handling experience, with 2+ years preferred. Experience working in a high-volume material handling environment. Shipping experience, preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing setting. Ability to lift and move 35+ pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Basic to intermediate computer skills for daily use of systems and applications. Experience working with ERP systems for inventory and job processing. Ability to read and interpret data, information, and documents accurately. Capability to meet deadlines and work effectively under time constraints. Ability to sit, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch as required by the job. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials and documentation. High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to pass compliance Ability to pass a drug test. Additional Skills & Qualifications Forklift certification preferred. Experience using Oracle systems is a plus. Previous experience with data entry in ERP or similar systems. Comfort working in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. Strong communication skills to coordinate with work centers and other departments. Ability to observe and respond to people and situations professionally. Willingness to learn and apply new information, processes, and technologies. Work Environment This is a second-shift position, working Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Initial training will take place on first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for approximately 4-6 weeks. The assignment is expected to last 12-18 months, with the possibility of conversion based on performance and business needs. You will work in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments, with a generally moderate temperature and noise level. The role involves routine sitting, walking, and use of hands for keyboarding, handling, and feeling, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching, and stretching. You will occasionally move around the campus and lift or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work will often be performed at a computer terminal, interspersed with meetings, phone calls, and other communication activities. Occasional overtime may be required. Employees and subcontractors must work in a safe, professional, and ethical manner at all times. Steel toe boots are required on the first day and for ongoing work in this role. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Vista, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr.
