Job Description
Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) has an immediate opening for a Nuclear Strategic Asset Management & Special Projects Coordinator I, II or III located at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, Nebraska. Position closes May 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time. Position Summary Assists with development and oversight of engineering projects plans, from initiation through closeout, to include station modifications as applicable while ensuring accountability to Technical Specifications and plant procedures. The incumbent applies an overall approach to assemble a comprehensive plan and cover all areas of work which is at all times flexible and will quickly and accurately reflect the effects of any changes in any aspect of the project plan. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring that assigned projects are safely executed on schedule, within cost limits, and to the quality specified.
This position may be assigned to a position within the Emergency Response Organization (ERO) that requires response to the station when an emergency is declared. Assignment to one of these positions and a condition of continued employment will be the ability to arrive at the station to perform ERO responsibilities within 45 minutes of notification of an emergency.
Education, Training and Experience Nuclear Strategic Asset Management & Special Projects Coordinator I B.S in Engineering from ABET accredited school, and at least: Two (2) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance in an industrial setting is required. (OR) Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, business or related field from accredited college or university and two (2) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance in an industrial setting is required. (OR) Associate Degree in a technical discipline minimum of four (4) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance at in an industrial setting is required. (OR) High School Diploma and minimum of six (6) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance in an industrial setting is required. Nuclear Strategic Asset Management and Special Projects Coordinator II B.S in Engineering from ABET accredited school, and at least: Five (5) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance at a commercial operating nuclear plant is required. (OR) Bachelor's degree in construction management, project management, business or related field from accredited college or university and five (5) years experience in operations, engineering, work management/planning or maintenance at a commercial operating nuclear plant is required

Travel Required:
Up to 25% (With no or minimal overnight stays, less than 3 per month, typically within state of Nebraska) Travel required may fluctuate by business need.
