- Full-time Summary OIG is organized into six operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Management and Administration.

Applicants must have active, current registration as a professional nurse in a State, District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.AND Education requirement:
Degree or diploma from a professional nursing program approved by the legally designated State accrediting agency at the time the program was completed by the applicant. AND Specialized experience for the GS-13 is one year of experience at the GS-12 level, or equivalent, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position which includes:- Providing clinical healthcare services requiring interpretation of various medical regulation and directives; AND Conducting healthcare audits, inspections, or program evaluations.

This is a non-bargaining unit position. We offer opportunities for flexible work schedules. Office assignment may be at one of the locations listed on the announcement subject to availability and OIG management discretion. Conditions of Employment (CONTINUED): A one year probationary period may be required. Continued employment is contingent upon supervisory certification that continued employment will benefit the Federal Service; the certification will occur no less than 30 days before the end of the probationary/trial period. Must successfully complete a background investigation.- Public Trust
