QUALIFICATIONS
1.
Any combination equivalent to:
graduation from high school supplemented by college-level course work in nursing, health care or a related field and two years of health care experience. 2. Perform a variety of licensed vocational nursing activities and assessments in support of student health services. 3. Screen and assess medical conditions of students. 4. Examine students and identify illnesses, injuries and medical emergencies. 5. Administer first aid, CPR and medications according to established procedures. 6. Report suspected child abuse or neglect according to established procedures. 7. Perform specialized physical health care procedures. 8. Calculate appropriate drug dosage amounts. 9. Prepare and maintain student immunization and health records and files. 10. Learn, interpret, apply and explain applicable regulations, policies and procedures. 11. Compile and verify data and prepare reports related to student health. 12. Respond effectively and appropriately to emergency situations. 13. Perform a variety of routine clerical duties. 14. Operate office equipment and a computer. 15. Utilize standard health instruments and first aid supplies. 16. Plan and organize work. 17. Work confidentially with discretion. 18. Lift, reposition and move students safely. 19. Valid First Aid and CPR certification. 20. Valid Licensed Vocational Nurse Certificate. 21. Valid California Class C Driver's License.
