Team Leadership:
Oversee the selection, training, evaluation, and discipline of RN Nurse team.Parent Communication:
Respond to parent inquiries promptly and professionally, maintaining transparent and effective communication.Station Management:
Monitor the Nurses' Station for cleanliness and safety, creating a conducive environment for medical care.Collaborative Contribution:
Actively participate in weekly interdisciplinary Treatment Team meetings, providing valuable insights and updates.Emergency Response:
Respond swiftly to reports of pain or sickness, assess students, and make informed decisions on necessary actions.Health Assessment:
Determine when a student requires placement on sick bed due to illness or pain, prioritizing their well-being.Medical Accompaniment:
Accompany students to medical appointments, effectively communicating findings and updates to parents.Vital Sign Monitoring:
Check vital signs and weight of students as assigned, ensuring accurate and consistent healthcare documentation.Medication Administration:
Accurately dispense student medications, meticulously recording details in the Medication Administration Record.Narcotics Oversight:
Count and track narcotics every shift, maintaining a stringent and secure medication management system.Behavioral Monitoring:
Monitor students' mood, behavior, and affect, particularly during new medication introductions, and document findings.Lab Coordination:
Correlate lab draws for students, contributing to comprehensive healthcare records.Medical Communication:
Effectively communicate pertinent medical information to the Treatment Team and Psychiatrist, facilitating collaborative patient care.Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Active RN license in the state of Utah 3+ years of nursing experience , including experience in psychiatric/mental health 1+ year of leadership or Embark Nursing experience. CAQH profile and NPI number (or willingness to obtain) Strong communication, organizational, and crisis management skills A heart for adolescents and a commitment to trauma-informed careBenefits:
