Salary/Rate:

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED, Background Checked David's UCC seeks an individual to serve as a Nursery Attendant on Sunday mornings, and as needed for special events. This person should have the energy to care for and supervise children from birth through sixth grade. Our nursery/toddler rooms serve children from birth to four years old. One week per month, the Nursery Attendant will also be responsible for the care of older children during the Second Hour programming. This person should be flexible, self-motivated, creative, and approachable. Also, this person must have an understanding of the issues that children face and the skills that children have at various ages. This person will agree to understand and abide by David's Safe Church Policies at all times.

Provide childcare for all children staying in the nursery from 9:15 AM until after the 9:50 AM church service. The service will end at approximately 11:15-11:30AM. 2. Make sure that all children are properly signed in and signed out for all activities being supervised by a caregiver. 3.
Engage with the children:
reading stories from provided books, coloring the provided coloring sheets, dancing/movement activities, etc. Nursery Attendant will receive guidance from the Faith Formation Board regarding activities and materials. 4. Before leaving at 11:45 AM the caregiver will be responsible for making sure each room or area used has all materials properly stored, furniture returned to original areas, all areas cleaned-up, lights turned off, and room doors closed. 3rd Sunday of the month
  • Additional Duties (11:15 AM
  • 12:30 PM) 1. Provide childcare (including an activity or craft or game/activity time) for children staying for Second Hour (11:15 AM
  • 12:30 PM).
2. If no children are present for Second Hour, the Nursery Attendant should use the time to plan for future activities, evaluate the available supplies for future activities, clean and sanitize furniture and toys as needed, and prepare a supply order list for all needed items. These duties should be completed when no children are present, unless the Second Hour programs have been cancelled. 3. At the end of each Sunday, the caregiver will be responsible for making sure each room or area used has all materials properly stored, furniture returned to original areas, and all spills cleaned-up, lights and water turned off, and room doors closed.
Additional responsibilities:
4. It is the responsibility of the Nursery Attendant to know and abide by the Safe Church Policies at all times. 5. It is the responsibility of the Nursery Attendant to notify the Associate Pastor if they will not be able to complete their assigned duties on any particular Sunday. 6. It is the responsibility of the Nursery Attendant to fill out and submit the proper forms to the Church Office in the event of an accident or emergency. The direct supervision of this position is the responsibility of the Associate Pastor.
