Job Description

Job Summary:
The Manager, Volunteers is responsible for providing consultative and concierge level services to all departments requesting volunteer services. They focus on the recruitment, screening and sourcing of volunteers; in addition to onboarding and record keeping of active volunteers.
Responsibilities:
Recruits volunteers for various assignments throughout the Medical Center Interviews and selects candidates in accordance with established policies and procedures, and in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirements Formulates and provides information for annual budget and monitors expenditures Provides information and requirements to prospective volunteers Reviews applications for completion and referral for assignment Refers prospective volunteers to department requesting services Notifies volunteers of assignments Contacts and responds to requests from hospital staff for appropriate placement of volunteers to enhance services provided to patients Communicates with Human Resources staff regarding background checks and required clearances in accordance with regulatory and accreditation requirement Maintains working relationships with hospital staff to ensure effective utilization of volunteers Develops and maintains system for tracking status of volunteer applications Schedules and maintains assignment data and volunteer hour records Enters and retrieves data and prepares and distributes reports Assigns and monitors work, evaluates employee performance Trains and instructs employees Prepares required forms for personnel transactions in accordance with established procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3+ experience in HR related field required or previous healthcare and volunteer background preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office suite; including Word, Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
Education:
Bachelor's preferred
