Duties Help Instructs preparory school physical educion and conditioning courses to prepare candides for United Stes Military Academy admission. Coaches collegie-level sports teams, assists with football and track, maintains hletic facilities, and acts as a recruitment liaison for prospects. Develops daily lesson plans and implements modern teaching and coaching methodologies, incorporing training aids to maximize student participion. Administers and prepares physical aptitude exams and fitness tests to evalue and document candides' physical qualificion for the Military Academy. Monitors recruited hlete performance across military training, academics, and physical educion by collaboring with instructors and tactical officers. Maintains up-to-de performance dabases and briefs the Director of Athletics on student-hlete progress, tracking development metrics. Participes in professional seminars and curriculum development committees to plan, evalue, and revise physical educion and intramural programs. Counsels student-hletes on academic, hletic, and school life adjustments while coordining with department heads and maintaining testing records. Qualificions Who May Apply:
US Citizens This is a full-time permanent appointment in the Excepted Service. In order to qualify, you must meet the educion and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through Nional Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizions (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience:
To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as work th involves experience and success in working with hletes, coaching, and teaching subjects in Physical Educion. -
OR- Educion :
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level gradue educion leading to such a degree in a field which demonstres the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. -
OR- Combinion of Educion and Experience :
A combinion of educion and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed gradue semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total gradue semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. (

Ability to teach in a Physical Educion program a four-year college, junior college, or Preparory School. 3. Mentorship of student-hletes across varying cultural and economic backgrounds. 4. Demonstred Academic Achievement.
