Occupational Therapist

Cypress Cove Care Center located in Crystal River, FL is currently seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to join their In-House therapy team! $5,000 Sign on Bonus Located along the Gulf Coast, Cypress Cove Care Center has been servicing Citrus County since 1983, over 35 years. We provide post-acute services, rehabilitative services including physical, occupational, and speech therapy, skilled nursing, short and long term care, medical management, pharmaceutical, physician, registered and licensed practical nurses, and certified nursing assistants. Cypress Cove Care Center offers short-term or long-term options to help with patients recovery as quickly as possible so they can return home and to their day-to-day life. We offer inpatient and outpatient therapy and rehabilitation services to all families.

Responsibilities:

plan treatment to residents and patients with temporary or long term disabilities to relieve pain, restore or improve function, and promote healing Assure all treatment is delivered in accordance with an established plan of care Provide clinical support and instruct patients, families, and caregivers Monitor patient response to treatment intervention Complete required forms and documentation in accordance with company policy and state/federal regulations Consulting with patients to learn about their physical condition. Assessing and interpreting patient evaluations and test results. Developing treatment plans using a variety of treatment techniques. Creating personalized fitness-oriented health care programs for patients. Administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain and improve mobility. Advising patients on exercise techniques. Advising patients and their families about in-home treatment options. Providing educational information about injury prevention, ergonomics and ways to promote physical health. Consulting and collaborating with other healthcare professionals. Documenting patient care history. Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures. Qualifications Valid Occupational Therapist license Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology Proficiency in medical terminology Experience in patient care within long-term care settings Skills in assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) Familiarity with discharge planning and care plans Experience working with diverse populations, including geriatrics and individuals with disabilities Background in acute care and skilled nursing facilities
