Part-Time Pediatric Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) Prism Pediatric Therapy | Palos Heights, IL Part-Time | W-2 Employee | Clinic-Based About Prism Pediatric Therapy Prism Pediatric Therapy is a small, relationship-centered private practice specializing in pediatrics. We are committed to providing individualized, child-centered therapy that supports meaningful participation, regulation, communication, and connection for children and families. We intentionally maintain a highly collaborative and supportive clinical environment focused on quality care, mentorship, and clinician growth. As our practice expands into occupational therapy services, we are seeking an OT who is excited to help shape and grow this area of the practice within a collaborative interdisciplinary setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician seeking clinical autonomy, a supportive clinic culture, schedule flexibility, and strong collaboration with a speech-language pathology team specializing in AAC and complex communication needs. Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and collaborative Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily clinic-based and focused on supporting pediatric clients with a variety of developmental, sensory, motor, self-regulation, executive functioning, and participation-based needs. Ideal candidates value relationship-based care, neurodiversity-affirming practices, collaboration with families, and individualized support for each child. This position has strong potential to grow into a larger caseload and eventual full-time opportunities as the practice continues to expand.
Schedule Part-time:
approximately 6-15 hours per week to start Friday daytime availability strongly preferred Optional weekend hours available (if preferred) Flexible scheduling opportunities as caseload grows Responsibilities Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and provide individualized pediatric therapy services Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each child's strengths and needs Support sensory regulation, fine motor development, executive functioning, activities of daily living, play skills, and participation across environments Collaborate closely with families and caregivers Complete documentation and progress reporting in a timely manner Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration and mentorship opportunities Maintain a positive, supportive, and collaborative clinical environment Qualifications Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy Illinois OT license (or eligibility) Pediatric experience preferred Experience with sensory processing, emotional regulation, executive functioning, and play-based intervention preferred Feeding experience preferred, but not required Strong collaboration and communication skills Ideal Candidate We are looking for an OT who: Values neurodiversity-affirming and child-centered practices Enjoys collaborating within an interdisciplinary team Is responsive, flexible, and relationship-focused Is excited about helping shape and grow OT services within a small practice environment Values quality care and continuity of relationships over high-volume productivity models Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and specialization Compensation structure designed to account for documentation and preparation time within scheduled sessions Additional paid documentation time available for evaluations/report writing as needed Continuing education reimbursement and Illinois state licensure reimbursement available for employees maintaining 15+ client-facing hours per week W-2 employee position (not 1099) Supportive and collaborative clinic culture Opportunities for professional growth and specialization Potential for increased hours and future full-time opportunities as caseload expands Compensation Range $50+ per hour based on experience, specialization, and pediatric background To Apply Please submit: Resume Brief cover letter or introduction Description of pediatric experience and clinical interests
