Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

Per Visit Requirements:

Currently licensed as an Occupational Therapy Assistant pursuant to MA General Laws Chapter 112. Current license in Massachusetts CPR One year experience under the supervision of a registered Occupational Therapist is preferred Previous home care experience preferred Experience with documentation in a patient Electronic Medical Record is a plus

Responsibilities:

Perform selected occupation therapy procedures and related tasks under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Provides therapeutic exercise, ADL assistance, therapeutic massage, heat and cold application, kitchen management. Provides measurement and adjustment of applicable DME, and instruction in the safe use and care. Provides instruction, motivation and assistance to patients and others in improving functional activities Documents performance, of selected Functional tests. Provides modification of treatment procedures as indicated by patient response and within the limits specified in the plan of care and report findings verbally or in writing to the Occupational Therapist. Establishes communication with members of therapy staff and other Care team members, individually or in Interdisciplinary meetings, to provide patient information. Document routine visit notes using EMR. Written weekly email communication to supervising OT on shared clients. Perform any related duties as required.

From $40.00 per hour
