Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role providing essential Occupational Therapy services in a supportive charter school environment near Massapequa, NY. This contract opportunity is an immediate need, focusing on direct OT services for a small caseload of three students who have not received services since March. Your expertise will help these students regain momentum and achieve their educational and developmental goals.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid Occupational Therapist (OT) licensure for New York Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Strong collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams Compassionate and patient approach tailored to student needs Ability to adapt therapy plans based on student progress and feedback Excellent organizational and documentation abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct OT services to three charter school students in accordance with IEP goals and district standards Assess current student functioning and develop targeted therapy plans to address specific needs Maintain up-to-date records and progress notes for compliance and collaboration Communicate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress Monitor and report on student outcomes, making adjustments as necessary for optimal results Integrate therapy strategies within classroom routines and educational activities This position offers the unique chance to make a fast, measurable difference for students who have gone without therapy for several months.
