Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic contract opportunity near North Bennington, VT, supporting students for the 26/27 school year. This position specializes in school-based Occupational Therapy, making an immediate difference in the lives of children and adolescents. You'll play a vital role in helping students achieve their full potential by addressing fine motor, sensory, and self-care skills within an educational setting.
Desired Qualifications:
Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program Valid or pending OT license for the state of Vermont Previous school-based OT experience is highly advantageous Solid understanding of IEP process and special education protocols Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educators, parents, and support staff Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage a varied caseload across different grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans Implement evidence-based OT interventions in classroom, individual, and group settings Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student goals Document progress and adjust treatment strategies as needed to meet changing student needs Participate in IEP meetings, provide recommendations, and help ensure compliance with state and federal regulations Educate school staff on OT strategies to promote accessible learning environments Enjoy the reward of working within a collaborative and inclusive school environment, making a direct impact throughout the academic year.
