Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful opportunity as an Occupational Therapist providing essential services in a charter school environment. Working with a focused caseload of just three students, you'll offer direct, student-centered OT support—helping children regain crucial momentum after a pause in services that began last March. Your expertise will play a pivotal role in fostering their growth and supporting their educational journey.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Master's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy program Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in New York State School-based OT experience preferred; Charter school setting a plus Strong understanding of pediatric OT principles and IEP process Exceptional communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and respond with sensitivity to students' unique needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct Occupational Therapy interventions to assigned students Conduct ongoing assessments to identify each student's needs and progress Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Collaborate daily with educators, school staff, and families to support student outcomes Maintain thorough and timely records of all therapy sessions and communications Participate in relevant multi-disciplinary meetings as required This contract position begins immediately, addressing a critical need for prompt and effective OT services. By working closely with students who have experienced a gap in support, you'll help restore essential skills and encourage positive outcomes in both academic and daily life.
