Job Description

Category Schools - OT Job Type Contract An exciting contract opportunity awaits a skilled Occupational Therapist ready to make a difference in early childhood education. Support young learners as part of an Early Interventionist Team, assisting children ages 3-4 during the 2026-2027 school year. Working onsite, you'll split your time between two locations, offering a focused, part-time schedule of approximately 4 hours per day, 4 days each week. As the only OT in this role, your expertise will be integral in helping children develop essential skills for future academic and social growth. You'll collaborate closely with educators and other intervention specialists to tailor therapy for each student's needs.
Key Qualifications:
Active Occupational Therapy license in Louisiana Prior experience working with preschool-aged children or in a school-based OT position preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse student needs Reliable transportation to travel between northern and southern sites as scheduled
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to children ages 3-4 in compliance with IEPs and relevant guidelines Assess, plan, and document individualized treatment plans Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to coordinate and deliver services Communicate progress and recommendations with parents, teachers, and school staff Deliver sessions onsite, ensuring a nurturing, positive, and supportive environment for young children This contract position offers a unique blend of professional autonomy and collaborative teamwork in a supportive school environment.
