Job Description

About Us:
We are a busy, patient-focused optometry practice committed to providing high-quality eye care and an exceptional patient experience. We're looking for a reliable and motivated team member to take on a lead front desk coordinator role. This position is ideal for someone who is highly organized, proactive, punctual, reliable and can grow into an a higher role over time.
Position Overview:
The Coordinator is responsible for managing the daily flow of the front desk while supporting the team ensuring excellent patient communication and maintaining efficient office workflow. This role requires leadership, accountability, and the ability to handle a busy clinical environment.
  • Experience in a medical or optometry is office required.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee patient scheduling and daily administrative operations Create and maintain staff schedules; assist/coordinate coverage as needed Ensure smooth patient flow and minimize scheduling disruptions Order contact lens trials and supply Handle patient concerns professionally and efficiently Troubleshoot daily issues and support problem-solving across the team Train and onboard new team members Communicate effectively with doctors and staff Pull patient insurance verification and eligibility Assist with billing and reports as needed Order inventory Qualifications Previous experience in a medical or optometry office required Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment Reliable, professional, and detail-oriented Experience with EHR/EMR systems Experience with inventory management or contact lens ordering preferred Benefits Paid time off Opportunities for growth and advancement Supportive team environment
