As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Oil and Gas Measurement Technician to join our team.
Position Overview:
As an Oil and Gas Measurement Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate measurement and monitoring of oil and gas production processes. You will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining measurement equipment, as well as conducting regular inspections to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality.
Responsibilities:
Install, calibrate, and maintain measurement equipment, including flow meters, pressure gauges, and temperature sensors. Conduct routine inspections and audits of measurement systems to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to measurement equipment performance or functionality. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components. Collect and analyze measurement data to identify trends, anomalies, or areas for improvement. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and regulatory compliance teams to implement changes or upgrades to measurement systems. Participate in training programs to stay updated on new technologies, industry best practices, and safety protocols. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and compliance with environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in instrumentation, electronics, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in oil and gas measurement or a similar industry. Strong understanding of measurement principles, including flow measurement, pressure measurement, and temperature measurement. Proficiency in using measurement equipment, diagnostic tools, and software applications. Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze complex technical issues. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, such as API MPMS, AGA, and ANSI. Effective communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with colleagues, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Commitment to safety, quality, and environmental stewardship. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to remote locations as needed.
