Job Description
Miller Energy Company II, LLC is seeking a Pumper / Lease Operator to manage an assigned route of oil and gas wells in the Sterling area . This position is ideal for someone who is mechanically inclined, enjoys working independently, and takes pride in maintaining equipment and facilities. The Pumper serves as the primary field contact responsible for optimizing production, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining safe and efficient operations. Typical Schedule 12 days on / 2 days off rotation
Monday-Friday:
7:00 AM - 3:00PM Saturday & Sunday:
7:00 AM - 12:00 PM (every other weekend) What You'll Do This role is responsible for operating and maintaining a daily route of producing oil wells and associated facilities.Main tasks include:
Visit and monitor assigned well sites and facilities daily (approximately 35 wells) using a company-provided work truck equipped with the tools necessary to perform route maintenance and repairs Monitor and maintain pumping units, treaters, pipelines, tanks, and other production equipment to ensure efficient operation Adjust well run times and optimize production Gauge tanks, monitor fluid levels, and record production data Call in oil loads and coordinate with trucking companies as needed Perform routine maintenance including greasing pumping units and maintaining wellhead components Verify pressures and gauges on wellheads, flowlines, and injection/disposal wells Troubleshoot equipment or production issues and coordinate repairs with the field service team Maintain lease roads, well sites, and facility grounds (including snow removal and mowing as needed) Ensure locations remain clean, organized, and environmentally compliant Communicate operational issues or safety concerns to operations leadership What We're Looking For 2+ years of relatable oilfield experience Lease operator / pumper experience preferred but not required Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of plumbing Ability to work independently and problem solve Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass background check and drug screen Ability to perform physical tasks including climbing stairs, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditionsJob Type:
