Cashier

Job Summary We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while efficiently processing transactions. As a Cashier, you will play a crucial role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers, ensuring they leave satisfied and eager to return. Duties Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases. Accurately process sales transactions using the Point of Sale (POS) system. Handle cash, credit, and debit transactions while maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. Engage in upselling and suggestive selling to enhance the customer experience and increase sales. Maintain knowledge of current promotions, products, and store policies to effectively assist customers. Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies. Address customer inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient store operations. Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required. Familiarity with retail math and basic math skills for accurate transaction processing. Experience with cash handling and POS systems is a plus. Leadership experience or supervising skills are advantageous for potential growth within the company.
