Job Description

Job Summary Join our dedicated team as an On-Call Direct Support Professional Float, where your compassion and flexibility make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with disabilities, seniors, and those requiring specialized care. In this dynamic role, you will provide essential support across various settings, including assisted living facilities and group homes. Your proactive approach ensures that residents receive personalized care, assistance with daily activities, and a safe environment to thrive. This position offers the opportunity to develop diverse skills while making a positive impact in the community. Duties Provide direct support to residents and clients in multiple settings, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility. Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols and document all medication administration in electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration to ensure residents' health stability. Assist with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration for individuals with special dietary needs. Support residents with dementia or memory care needs through personalized engagement and behavior management techniques. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and common spaces. Document observations, incidents, and care provided accurately in compliance with facility policies. Support transportation needs by driving residents to appointments or community outings when required. Collaborate with team members, social workers, healthcare professionals, and families to ensure comprehensive care plans are followed.
Skills :
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and behavior management techniques. Familiarity with medication administration procedures and vital signs monitoring. Strong caregiving skills with a focus on assisting individuals with disabilities or long-term care needs. Experience working with electronic medical record (EMR) systems for documentation purposes. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members. Ability to adapt quickly to changing schedules or care needs as an on-call professional. Part-time or Full-time (minimum of 20hr/week and max of 40) $40 per week on-call standby pay if involuntarily no shifts available. Cover call-offs and last-minute openings across our 3 shifts (7a-3p, 3p-11p, 11p-7a) Must live within 20 minutes of our locations Reliable smartphone and transportation Pass MN background study Previous caregiving preferred but not required Valid driver's license and safe driving record for transportation duties.
