Online Safety Counsel

The Online Safety Legal Team is a team of dedicated professionals within Apple's legal department who advise the business on online safety related harms, work to respond rapidly to customer reports of harmful content, liaise with law enforcement on imminent threats, review and report child sexual exploitation material "CSEM" to relevant law enforcement agencies, and partner with Apple's Trust \u0026 Safety team to create and implement safety policies. Collaborate with the Trust \u0026 Safety Team to implement online safety policies\\nReview customer reports of harmful content on Apple's platform including CSEM reports\\nProvide legal guidance regarding online safety regulations and reporting requirements\\nLiaise with global law enforcement on imminent harm cases \\nDevelop internal documents for content moderation training, workflows, and processes\\nRespond quickly to time sensitive customer reports that may arise outside of standard work hours 5-7 years of legal experience focused on online safety issues\\nFamiliarity with global online safety regulations, CSEM legal reporting requirements, and privacy laws\\nJD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar Clear and concise communication skills\\nAbility to forge trusting relationships and work globally as a member of a cross functional, geographically diverse team\\nWillingness and ability to travel as needed\\nAbility to remain calm under pressure and meet time sensitive deadlines
