Job Description
Job Summary The West Group USA is a growing medical manufacturing company in Garland, TX, seeking a hands-on Operations Supervisor to lead our assembly and logistics team. This is a key leadership role responsible for daily execution, team development, and driving operational excellence in a regulated medical device environment. You'll oversee a team of 10 and be ready to roll up your sleeves when needed. Process engineering or Lean Six Sigma experience is a plus — we'll provide training and certification support to help you grow in this area. Duties
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of 9 assembly operators and 1 shipping/receiving/incoming inspection specialist.
- Oversee daily production assembly, shipping/receiving, and inspection activities to meet output, quality (FDA/ISO/GMP), and on-time delivery targets.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements to boost efficiencies, reduce waste, and deliver measurable bottom-line impact (training and tools will be provided).
- Track and drive key metrics including OEE, throughput, scrap rates, cycle times, and cost savings.
- Ensure full compliance with medical device regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Step in to support assembly, inspection, or logistics during absences, peak periods, or as required.
- Conduct performance reviews, training, and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams. Skills
- 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing (medical device or other regulated industry strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to lead small teams, meet production goals, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, ERP/MRP tools, and production metrics.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills; comfortable being hands-on.
- Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Nice-to-have
- : Process engineering background, Lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma experience (we will sponsor training if needed).
- Ability to work on-site in Garland, TX, and handle physical tasks (standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, etc.
Pay:
$65,000.00- $88,000.
