Job Description

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN NEEDED!
​ This position can be based out of our Garland or Carrollton office . Travel will be required between both locations weekly.
THIS POSITION OFFERS

RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs daily routine inspections of each property in order to make recommendations for improvements Performs routine building maintenance and building improvements as needed ​Troubleshoots potential problems and maintains maintenance reports Purchases supplies needed for maintenance for remodeling Reads/interprets service contracts, inspections, blueprints, and pending work/purchase orders Electrical and plumbing repairs as needed and responds to building service calls and emergency issues Maintains rapport with tenants, write reports and effectively present information
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or GED Prior general construction and/or maintenance experience. The ability to climb a ladder and routinely lift 50 pounds. Preferred if candidate owns a pickup truck/van
WHAT PUTS YOU AHEAD
Experience recruiting, assessing, or supporting foster, adoptive, or kinship families Experience working within child welfare, foster care, or community-based services Knowledge of regulatory, accreditation, or compliance standards Training or experience facilitating groups or presentations Valid driver's license, current auto insurance, and vehicle registration Must pass all background checks and drug screenings. The ability to work irregular hours, including weekends and holidays; if needed.
