Job Title:
Operations Team Member Job Description The Operations Team Member supports the production of high-quality restaurant furniture by sanding, grinding, cutting, and assembling table tops, garbage vestibules, and booths. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of tools and equipment in a manufacturing environment, contributing directly to the creation of finished products that meet precise quality and measurement standards. Responsibilities Sand, grind, cut, and assemble restaurant furniture components such as table tops, garbage vestibules, and booths according to specifications. Use hand and power tools, including hand grinders, safely and efficiently to complete production tasks. Operate measuring tools accurately to ensure all parts meet required dimensions and quality standards. Perform general production and construction-related tasks in a millwork and cabinetry environment. Operate sit-down forklifts to move materials and finished products within the warehouse, following all safety procedures. Work as part of a production cell, collaborating closely with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals. Maintain a clean and organized work area, managing dust and debris in the millwork area in accordance with safety guidelines. Follow all safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment such as respirator face cups when required. Adapt to a fast-paced manufacturing environment and consistently meet quality, safety, and productivity expectations. Participate in training and development activities to build skills and support continuous improvement in production processes. Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of sit-down forklift experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment. 1 to 2 years of recent construction, millwork, or cabinetry experience within the last 2 years. 1 to 2 years of recent experience using hand and power tools within the last 6 months. 1 to 2 years of experience using measuring tools to verify dimensions and tolerances. Ability to stand for up to 10 hours in a manufacturing environment, confirmed through prior work experience. Comfort working in a dusty millwork area and in warmer temperatures during summer months. Proven ability to follow safety procedures and use tools and equipment responsibly. Capability to work mandatory overtime on Fridays and Saturdays when required. Additional Skills & Qualifications general labor, production, or construction-related roles. Experience working with wood, millwork, or cabinetry materials. Ability to work effectively in a team-based, cell production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work. Willingness to learn new processes and tools through structured training and development. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic in a fast-paced setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Owatonna, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
