  • Heath Division operates and maintains more than 300 miles of liquids pipeline, a tank farm, multiple pipeline stations and a light product terminal. This position is for an Operations Technician located in Heath, OH that will support Marathon Pipe Line's Buckeye Area
  • Heath Division.
This position involves working with refined petroleum products and is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company assets in full compliance with all applicable DOT, environmental, safety, and regulatory standards in support of 24/7/365 operations. Key responsibilities include executing and supporting pipeline Operations & Logistics, Damage Prevention and Right of Way relations, and performing Logistics & Storage Terminal loading rack duties as required. The successful candidate is required to live within 45 minutes of the reporting location at 840 Heath Road, Heath, Ohio. Travel, callouts, and overtime will be required on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities The successful candidate will be required to complete all necessary training to perform tasks associated with pipeline and terminal operations including but not limited to the following: Provide damage prevention oversight through Ohio One-Call ticket monitoring and pipeline locating Ensure pipeline safety by providing oversight for third party excavations near or crossing the pipeline Public engagement with landowners and stakeholders on the Rights-of-Way Monitoring pipeline movements Product tank switches Conduct product quality oversight through sampling and testing Maintain facility and equipment per regulatory and intercompany compliance Routine facility and equipment inspections Routine and breakdown maintenance tasks Respond and resolve station alarms Emergency response Inventory reconciliation Assist transport carriers and drivers with loading/unloading operations Evaluate and troubleshoot issues Verify completion and ensure closure of work order tasks Climb above ground storage tanks in excess of 40 feet Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent is required Associate's degree in a related technical field is preferred but not required Previous pipeline experience with emphasis on electrical/mechanical is highly preferred Valid driver's license and good driving record Proficiency in basic computer skills Self-motivated and organized approach to routine work Must be willing to work 8-hour shift with rotating on-call responsibilities covering nights/weekends As an energy industry leader, our career opportunities fuel personal and professional growth.
