Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Utility Line Clearance & Construction Operations/Project Manager to lead and oversee utility line clearance and construction projects. In this role, you will oversee planning, execution and employee performance on all Vegetation Management, Utility Line Management, Access & Infrastructure work for a territory consisting of multiple crews in one or more states. Your leadership will drive efficiency, safety, and excellence across all project phases, from planning through execution. Candidates should have at least 5 years of recent experience with contractor supervision and/or contract management. Prior experience in electric utility vegetation management, utility line infrastructure construction, transmission and utilities projects( pipeline and related infrastructure ), will be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide supervision, leadership, and training to crew supervisors and line clearance crews through day-to-day contact and performance monitoring. Direct assigned employees in safe work procedures, work effectiveness, on-the-job training, construction standards, proper care and use of material and equipment, customer service, and company policy and compliance with contracts as well as state and local laws Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets to meet client requirements and company goals Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation plans to avoid schedule delays. Lead and supervise utility line clearance and construction crews, ensuring adherence to safety standards and project specifications. Coordinate with stakeholders, including contractors, landowners, and municipal agencies, to facilitate smooth project execution. Manage project documentation, including reports on progress, safety incidents, and compliance records. Ensure all work complies with industry regulations and environmental standards re construction, and utility operations. Maintain accurate staff, safety, work and job cost records including equipment and material use, and employee performance. Serve as Company representative to call during non-scheduled hours for emergency work. Perform duties for storm work as needed
Supervisory Responsibilities:
General Forepersons will report directly to the Operations/Project Manager.
Customer Relations:
Manage Client communication, including meetings, progress reports, and resolving site issues.
Key Competencies:
Has the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently. At least 5 years of recent experience with contractor supervision and/or contract management. Strong background in construction management with a focus on utility line clearance projects. Has a basic knowledge of electrical circuits and must be skilled in reading and understanding circuit maps. Knows and understands the American National Standards for Tree Care Operations (ANSI
Z133.1-2000
). Knowledge in construction project management and procedures. Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills under tight deadlines Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Understanding of general business and financial principles. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative work environment.
Field Work:
Ability to work in challenging, fast-paced environments and travel frequently, often at short notice.
Pay:
$63,711.47 - $76,727.79 per year
