Job Description

PS Seasoning is a Wisconsin-based, family-owned spice and seasoning manufacturer with deep roots in craftsmanship and a passion for flavor. From signature sausage seasonings to custom blends for chefs and food brands across the country, every product we make starts with people who care. Our Iron Ridge plant runs multiple production lines — bottling, pouching, blending, and liquid filling — and we're growing. We're hiring Operators in Training on all shifts. If you take pride in doing things right, like working with your hands, and want a team that invests in your growth, we'd love to meet you. The Role As an Operator In Training, you're the person who keeps our lines running clean, safe, and on-spec. You'll start on a structured 4-week training program that takes you from Day 1 onboarding through full sign-off as a certified Operator — including forklift certification, lockout/tagout, allergen training, and hands-on time at every major station. Once trained, you'll independently run production lines, troubleshoot equipment issues, document quality checks in our ERP system, and help mentor newer associates. What You'll Do Operate production equipment across our Bottling, Bartelt pouching, Matrix labeling, and Blending lines — startup, run, troubleshoot, shutdown.
Perform hourly quality checks:
weigh checks, metal detector verifications, lot code accuracy, label and seal inspections. Document production activity in our Deacom ERP system — issue materials, receive finished goods, complete batch records. Make equipment adjustments (fill weights, label alignment, seal temperatures) to keep product on-spec. Support sanitation and allergen changeovers between batches — keeping food safety the top priority. Operate forklifts and power stackers safely (we'll certify you if you're not already certified). Communicate with Leads, QA, and Maintenance to resolve issues quickly and keep the line moving. Follow all GMP, HACCP, and OSHA requirements without cutting corners. What We're Looking For Required High school diploma or GED. Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic — our team counts on you to show up. Ability to stand for full shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in a temperature-variable plant environment. Comfort following written and verbal instructions in English (or Spanish — we are a bilingual workplace). Basic math skills (counting, weighing, simple unit conversions like ounces to grams). Willingness to learn equipment, software (Deacom ERP), and food safety standards. Nice to Have (Not Required — We'll Train You) Prior experience in food manufacturing, packaging, or any production environment. Forklift certification (we'll certify you in Week 1 if not). OSHA 10 General Industry card. Familiarity with HACCP, GMP, or allergen management. Experience with ERP or warehouse management systems. What You'll Get Competitive hourly pay: $20
  • 22/hr based on experience, with shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Full benefits:
medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, paid time off, and paid holidays. A real training program — 4 weeks of structured, paid training with a dedicated Trainer and Lead, not 'figure it out as you go.' Career path: Associate Operator Lead Trainer/Manufacturing Support. We promote from within. Steady work in a family-owned company that's been in Wisconsin for decades. Schedule Full-time, 40 hours per week with regular overtime opportunities. 1st shift, 2nd shift, and 3rd shift positions available — let us know your preference. Monday-Friday with occasional Saturday production. 6:00am
