Ophthalmic Photographer Palmetto Retina Center - 3.6 West Columbia, SC Job Details Full-time 3 hours ago Qualifications Photography Collaborate with healthcare professionals Computer operation Anatomy knowledge Ophthalmology Clinic experience Research High school diploma or GED Computer skills Patient interaction Full Job Description Job Description Palmetto Retina Center, a busy 10-physician ophthalmology practice specializing in retina diseases, is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Photographer to coordinate photography and diagnostic services and perform ophthalmic photography for diagnostic, documentation, and educational purposes in the clinic. This position is a full-time, hourly, non-exempt role that reports to the photography supervisor. Responsibilities Job Responsibilities Perform clinical ophthalmic photography and diagnostic photographic studies. Conducts photographic studies and collaborates on photographic services for research projects with other departments. Maintain certification to meet the required criteria for research studies. Participate in the training of technicians in the role of ophthalmic photography for clinical and diagnostic procedures. Other responsibilities as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications Minimum Demonstrated Skills/Qualifications:
Demonstrates working knowledge of eye anatomy, disease, symptoms, and ocular medications Has a working understanding of fundus photos and fluorescein angiography Understands and follows protocol for procedural consent Multi-tasking and listening skills Cooperates with supervisory staff, physicians, peers, external customers, and patients in a positive, energetic, and professional manner Demonstrated excellence in communication skills Organizational and time management skills Demonstrate ability to effectively convey ideas and information Creative idea-generating individual with excellent follow-through abilities
Educational Requirements :
High School diploma or the equivalent COA strongly preferred. At least 2 years' experience in Ophthalmology with a minimum of 1 year in Photography Physical requirements: Ability to view patient images and operate computer devices, frequent use of a computer terminal. Ability to communicate via speech and hearing. Must be able to stand, walk, bend at knees and waist, raise arms overhead, & lift up to 35 lbs with or without a reasonable accommodation.
