Job Description

Who We Are Paul Phillips Eye & Surgery Center is a physician-owned multi-specialty ophthalmic practice that offers comprehensive eyecare services in surgical and medical retina, cataract and refractive surgery, uveitis, glaucoma, oculoplasties, contact lens fitting and supply, and full service optical. The main location is in Flemington, NJ with two satellite offices in Bridgewater, NJ and Clinton, NJ. Who You Are The Ophthalmology Surgical Coordination Manager is a working team member who will oversee all surgical scheduling and peri- and post-operative administrative workflows while sharing in the day-to-day workload. This role ensures an exceptional patient experience from surgical consultation through postoperative follow-up while maintaining operational efficiency. The manager supervises the surgical coordinators and collaborates closely with the physicians and ambulatory surgery centers. What You'll Do All responsibilities require hands-on leadership. Oversight and coordination of surgical procedures, including scheduling surgery and explaining pre-operative instructions to patients for cataract, glaucoma, retina, and refractive procedures. Serve as a liaison between patients, surgeons, and hospital/surgery centers to ensure accurate coordination. Prepare pre-operative instruction paperwork and ensure completion of all required surgical documentation and consents. Manage surgical calendars with physician and administrative input to optimize efficiency. Maintain high standards for compassionate, professional patient communication. Supervise, train, and mentor surgical coordinators.

Continual monitoring of existing workflows and implementation of new processes for optimum efficiency. What You Bring Minimum of 2 years experience in ophthalmology surgical scheduling or healthcare operations. 1-3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience. Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures and surgical workflows. Experience with EMR/practice management systems, preferably NextGen. Ability to travel to all 3 offices as needed.

What We Offer Salary Range:
$60k- $63k/annual

Schedule:
Exempt position: normal business daytime hours of 8:00 to 4:30 pm; occasional evenings.
