Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support within our clinic environment. This position requires a strong , along with the ability to perform vision screening, visual field testing, and standard ophthalmic tech duties, maintain accurate medical records and assist in various clinical tasks. Responsibilities Obtain and review patient medical history and medication lists, vision testing, visual field testing. Maintain exam rooms. Maintain and update patient medical records with accuracy and confidentiality. Assist healthcare professionals in delivering patient care, ensuring adherence to aseptic techniques. Conduct basic assessments and gather relevant patient information to support diagnosis. Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operation and high-quality patient service. Utilize knowledge of medical billing processes to assist with administrative tasks as needed. Provide retail sales support by educating patients about products and services offered by the clinic. Stay informed about anatomy and physiology to effectively communicate with patients regarding their care. Requirements Previous experience in a clinical or healthcare setting is preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Familiarity with medical records management and medical billing processes. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient interaction. Ability to demonstrate aseptic technique in all clinical procedures. Retail math skills are a plus for assisting with sales-related tasks. A commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining a positive clinic environment.
