Overview We are seeking dedicated and hardworking individuals to join our team as an Organic Farm Production Packhouse Worker. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to work in a non-traditional workplace that is focused on the production of organic food. The role requires strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.. The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for food, farming, and horticulture, along with a willingness to learn and contribute to various tasks that support our growing operation. Duties As a Packhouse Worker, your primary responsibilities will include: Pack customer orders Grade, sort, clean, wash, and pack various fruits, vegetables, grains, and other food products. Must be fast and enjoy the hustle. Assemble, disassemble, and manage food-related packaging materials. Assist on the order packing line as needed. Enforce quality standards and implement food safety protocols. Maintain and clean work areas, tables, machines, coolers, and other packhouse spaces.
Secondary / Backup
Duties (as needed): Support greenhouse activities including seeding, transplanting, watering, harvesting, and basic record keeping. Occasional field harvesting and related tasks. Experience Prior experience in packing houses, greenhouses, or farming is helpful but not required. We welcome motivated candidates who are eager to learn and demonstrate: Strong work ethic and moral fortitude (most important). High school graduate or GED equivalency.
Requirements MUST:
Have dependable transportation and a working telephone. Be able to lift 50 lbs. Be able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day. Be available 1-3 days a week -- Some Saturday work. Be detail-oriented with strong counting accuracy. Possess excellent organizational skills and a focus on quality and cleanliness. Be motivated, quick, reliable, and able to stay focused on tasks with minimal verbal communication. Have the ability to follow detailed instructions. Provide solid references and proven reliability. Be fast! Additional Details Probationary/trial period for the ideal candidate to assess fit, skills, and performance.
